Orange dot on parity drive

Featured Replies

Hello,

This is probably a silly question but during parity-sync should the dot be orange? I have just booted my unRAID server up for the first time, and it contains two new 2TB HDD's and I have read some review that say it can be a fault with the HDD. Please can someone confirm or deny.

Many Thanks

Yes, it (orange) indicates parity is in the process of being calculated.

One more quick question does orange out of party-sync mean busy disk, aka disk in use??

No, it indicates parity is not valid, nothing more.  (and, likely you are in the middle of an initial parity calculation, so all the disks would be busy being read, and the parity disk being written.)
