[SOLVED] Can't stop my array (cache drive)

Featured Replies

Hello,

I just added two drives to my machine and runned them through pre_clear. Now i want to add them to the array. But when i try to stop the array the cache drive doesn't want to unmount. It did unmount before so I don't know why it doesn't want to anymore.

I have following addons running (that i killed):

mysql (killed by command killall mysqld)

sabnzbd (killed by the unmenu button, doesn't show up in ps command anymore)

couchpotato (killed by the unmenu button, doesn't show up in ps command anymore)

sickbeard (killed by the unmenu button, doesn't show up in ps command anymore)

cache dir (killed by cache_dirs -q)

swap files (also killed and now disabled (i have 8 gig of ram so i don't think i would need a swap file soon)

The web gui even dies out after a while, i restarted this by using the emhttp command (found that somewhere here on the forum). And still it states it is trying to unmount the cache drive. Same thing is being printed in my telnet window (through tail -f /var/log/syslog)

I also did a lsof /mnt/cache and a fuser /mnt/cache and both report nothing, making me believe i didn't forget any add-on and don't have any files open on the drive. But still it doesn't want to unmount. I added my syslog.

ow yeah i am running version 4.7.

Any help or pointers would be much appreciated.

well after a few tries (read that as more than 10) and rebooting the server by pressing its power button (as i couldn't get into anything anymore), also a few times (and this is a big nono, but my parity seems to still check out), it did stop the array (i did kill all the add-ons in the same way though).

I ll try your command next time i run into problems. Isn't "lsof | grep cache" the same as "lsof /mnt/cache", i am not really that into linux so i might be completely wrong.
