Second Nic 2.5gbe not working

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a second nic on my unraid that I would like to use for my backup network. I have a Synology NAS with a 2.5gbe link and a pc with a 2.5gbe link connected to a trendnet 6 port 2.5gbe switch. I am using a Plugable 2.5Gbps USB to Ethernet Adapter (USBC-E2500). I installed the Realtek plugin and I can see the nic in network settings. I configured a static ip address that is on the same subnet as the other two hosts. The other two devices communicate with no issues. I ran ethtools in the cli and can see the 2.5gbe nic is showing the correct advertised speed. I try to ping and I get nothing. Any advice or additional troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated. honoreplex-diagnostics-20240822-0909.zip

Interesting. The port was inactive. I selected port up to reactivate it. What would cause the port to be inactive? I am still unable to ping the other two devices on the subnet. Here is an updated diagnostic. I don't know if the issue is driver related or not.

Could be, if you reboot is the port back down or up?

I would try a different NIC.
