Sorry about the recent website/forum outage

Featured Replies

due to 'Bandwidth Exceeded'.  We have most of the website migrated over to a VPS but I have not sat down and moved over the live forum data.  Then there will be 24-hour window during which site will be down while DNS propagates.  I was hoping to accomplish this after the move.  Today's outage means we hit 50GB in the month ending today (this is mainly forum activity since the download files are hosted somewhere else).

As for the move, well it's been a lot of work: moving Business, Household, family, dogs, cars, etc. cross-country.  Actual transport of everything takes place next week.  I'll post pix of new office once everything's set up.  March 1 will start our 'nexus' in CA in case anyone is wondering about that.

50 GB in forum traffic in 31 days - wow!  :o  Busy site.

On a plus side, Feb only has 29 days.  :P

Most of that is people continually refreshing the announcements page, waiting for news of the next release!

heh, we understand.

I bet part of the traffic is many of us refreshing all day long looking for new posts. I know I'm refreshing all day long.

I would hope with the vast number of hosting companies today offering either unlimited web traffic (or in my vps' case 1000TB of traffic) you have moved to one of those and that message should be in the past :)
