August 26, 20241 yr Community Expert So I've been using ZFS for a while outside of Unraid. My zpool has nested datasets. If I import my existing zpool into Unraid, how can I enable a share on a nested dataset? As example, I have a dataset called home and under that I have home/user1 and home/user2. I used to share the user folders. Is there a way to tell Unraid I have a share from an existing folder and that being a nested dataset? Thanks.
August 26, 20241 yr Community Expert Solution Unraid shares can only be top level folders, same for datasets.
August 26, 20241 yr Author Community Expert Thanks. I found out that I could move a dataset to the top level. So not an issue now. zfs rename maintank/usbtank/dataset1 maintank/dataset1 Just need to do some reorganization now.
