February 2, 201214 yr I've gotten my new server up and running, but there is one data drive in my original server that I need to bring over as-is and retain all data. From the wiki I found: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Replacing_Multiple_Data_Drives_with_a_Single_Larger_Drive To do this I should: shutdown both servers move the drive to the new server start new server assign new drive in array run initconfig <wait for parity to be recalculated> Is this correct? thanks, dave P.S. almost forgot. I"m running version: 5.0-beta14

I"m running version: 5.0-beta14 Close. shutdown both servers move the drive to the new server power up new server after installing drive. STOP unRAID array in new server assign new drive in array run initconfig (alternative to initconfig, there is a button under Utils in the web-interface to set a new configuration) Start the array. <wait for parity to be recalculated>
February 2, 201214 yr Author Thanks Joe. It is now happily re-building parity. One question. I stopped the array, assigned the new drive, went to utilities and did the "New Config". I then had to re-apply all the drive assignments. If that is expected do I really need to assign the new drive prior to hitting "New Config"? thanks, dave
