Nvidia RTX A2000 6GB on PCI-E 3.0 X4

Featured Replies

I'm considering moving my A2000 to my motherboard's PCI-E X4 slot, but I'm concerned it will bottleneck it to much.

I'm using it for Jellyfin Transcoding, VM with Win10 w. Adobe Media Encoder and a Docker with Handbrake.

Will it bottleneck too much? and Can I calculate / measure it before moving it to the other slot?

For video transcoding, I doubt that you can even saturate a PCIe x4 slot, no less a x16 slot.

You also may be able to set the slot the GPU is currently in to x4 if you wish to test without opening up the system and moving it.
