August 31, 20241 yr I have three Unraid servers each recently had a drive go bad. I have two servers with 8 disk in the raid along with 1 parity and 1 cache. The raid is 32TB and I am updating the Parity disk to 8TB. I have another server with 13 disk in the raid configuration. The raid is 52TB and the parity disk is at 4TB at this time. I have to wait for the Disk rebuild before I can update the parity disk. The two servers with 8 disk are rebuilding the drives with speeds in the MB/Sec. The server with 13 disk is rebuilding the disk at kb/Sec speeds? The drives are all WD NAS drives with 5400RPM 6GB/sec. I am trying to figure out if there is a configuration I'm missing or am I choking the speed some how?

August 31, 20241 yr Author So I just seen someone that pointed out the UDMA, looking over the log files I see the same issue in my server. I have ordered another SATA 6GBS card I am using for the connections to see if this is the probelm. Edited August 31, 20241 yr by speedyonthehill
September 2, 20241 yr Author Update, Two things were wrong from what I found out. First the Bios was set to the new Disk option which I had to revert to Legacy. Than the UDMA issue was part of a raid card port was bad. Now I have the Disk rebuilding at 50-80MB a Sec. Better days are here. Thanks to all that stepped in and gave me a reference.
