Slackware compile server

Sorry if i've missed the answer to this question, likely barried in numerous posts:

 

What version of Slackware do I need to use to have a compile server (a place to compile packages that would then run on UnRaid)?

 

For UnRaid 4.7?

 

For UnRaid 5?

 

Also, as I did find in other posts, it would be nice if someone that already has an environment posts a virtual machine we can just download and use :)
