September 3, 20241 yr Hi everyone, I'm new to unraid but old synology user. I'll explain the situation. At home I have a Synology DS923+ which mounts 4 4TB SSDs and a 10GB network card. I wanted to install unraid on a Minisforum UM890 Pro with 64gb of ram and 2 x 2.5gb ports. (for docker and VMs) How could I combine the processing power of the 890 and the disks of the 923+?

September 3, 20241 yr Community Expert SMB using UD is probably the best option, though there's also an iSCSI plugin if you like to try it, but I would expect SMB to perform better, and should be easier to set up.
