jclaydon1969 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 I recently switched internet provider, and now my unraid server is not able to connect directly to the router like it did before after much back and forth and trial and error, i did manage to connect my computers by bridging the ethernet port of my windows 11 pc and using a second wireless adapter to share the internet. My server computer that normally uses unraid works under linux mint 21, but i can not access the web gui from the windows pc when unraid is running my old isp used numbers like 10.0.0.195 and this one uses 192.168.xx.xx here is a screen shot of linux: ifconfig enp4s0: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 inet 192.168.137.133 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.137.255 inet6 fe80::f8e2:be5:272b:f205 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x20<link> ether b0:6e:bf:bb:32:45 txqueuelen 1000 (Ethernet) RX packets 6227 bytes 5406272 (5.4 MB) RX errors 48 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 48 TX packets 3816 bytes 755028 (755.0 KB) TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0 device memory 0xf6900000-f691ffff lo: flags=73<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING> mtu 65536 inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 255.0.0.0 inet6 ::1 prefixlen 128 scopeid 0x10<host> loop txqueuelen 1000 (Local Loopback) RX packets 988 bytes 130158 (130.1 KB) RX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 0 TX packets 988 bytes 130158 (130.1 KB) TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0 here iss what is on my windows: C:\Users\jclay>ipconfig Windows IP Configuration Unknown adapter Tailscale: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::d8ff:5060:f230:9168%38 Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : 169.254.83.107 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.0.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : Ethernet adapter Ethernet 2: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::ad01:1d1e:b776:bfa0%13 IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.56.1 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : Wireless LAN adapter Local Area Connection* 1: Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Wireless LAN adapter Local Area Connection* 2: Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Ethernet adapter Ethernet: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::5253:3e3:790:56b0%17 IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.137.1 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 2001:56a:75c7:1800:7d9:82:6450:e3a0 Temporary IPv6 Address. . . . . . : 2001:56a:75c7:1800:30bc:ee51:1e64:7b3f Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::9dd5:f4a:9a8:798c%19 IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.77 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : fe80::fe2b:b2ff:feff:bc0%19 192.168.1.254 Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi 2: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 2001:56a:75c7:1800:b7ef:2d90:a43b:7409 Temporary IPv6 Address. . . . . . : 2001:56a:75c7:1800:a855:2630:5f69:4c79 Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::2435:b802:94e0:96cc%10 IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.81 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : fe80::fe2b:b2ff:feff:bc0%10 192.168.1.254 anyone have any ideas on what i'm missing? As it turns out, I managed to get it to work by setting a static ip address, which gave me gui access from windows, but not internet.. Was a typo in the server settings Now I just have to figure out how to restore my docker containers.. I had the backup appdata installed, but for some reason it's not reading the restored data.. *shrug* tower-diagnostics-20240910-0758.zip Quote
Solution JorgeB Posted September 10, 2024 Solution Posted September 10, 2024 See below to restore Docker, assuming you have appdata. https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-create-the-docker-image-file Then: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#re-installing-docker-applications Also see below if you have any custom docker networks: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/docker-management/#docker-custom-networks Quote
