How to change usb flash device without backup

Featured Replies

I lost my usb flash device while I replaced my motherboard.

I have read this article but not sure that my disks(1 check + 2 data) and ssd cache(2) maybe be affected with different motherboard and different slots.

What should I do?

In principle Unraid is hardware agnostic and recognises disks by their serial number and not by how they are connected so the transition is painless. , although it can get a bit more complicated if one of the systems used a RAID controller for the disks.

I was not sure if you  know what disks belong where, and if not you may find this section of the online documentation helps with sorting out the drives.

It seems like I can use Unassigned Devices plugin to identify parity disk. thx.

Is the cache ssd drive not care about order? I'm using 2 ssd for full data cache.
