Kiouri Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Hello everyone, a month or so back an issue cropped up with my UNRAID install on my dell PowerEdge T710. I am somewhat new to UNRAID and don't know a lot. I have been unable to connect to my SMB shares with any type of device whether it be IOS, Android, or Windows. I am currently using Windows 11 Pro 23H2. I have tried most of everything I have found on the forums related to windows 10/11 SMB problems. Nothing seemed to help I then tried my tablets and phone and found those get a server rejected connection error. Issue started when I was on URAID ver. 6.12.10 updating has also not resolved anything Now Running UNRAID ver. 6.12.13. I checked the logs and found the following in the attached screenshot. I don't know if that is normal or part of the problem. I am hoping I don't have to reinstall UNRAID. Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated. Quote
itimpi Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 You are likely to get more informed feedback if you attach your system's diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread. It is always a good idea to do this to allow us to see the current state of your system and so we can see logs. Quote
Kiouri Posted September 13, 2024 Author Posted September 13, 2024 Sorry I forgot to add it to my original post. Here is the diagnostics zip. tower-diagnostics-20240912-2153.zip Quote
JorgeB Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Export the flash drive over SMB publicly and see if you can access that share. Quote
Solution Frank1940 Posted September 13, 2024 Solution Posted September 13, 2024 You can also start here: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/149487-how-do-i-fix-these-samba-errors/ Quote
Kiouri Posted September 13, 2024 Author Posted September 13, 2024 I tried exporting the Flash drive as public and I am unable to connect to it and get an error saying the remote device or resource won't accept the connection. I also deleted the secrets.tdb that was mentioned in the forum post that Frank1940 posted and didn't notice any improvements/changes with the problem I have. I also added a recent diagnostics.zip from after I deleted the secrets.tdb and restarted the system. tower-diagnostics-20240913-1125.zip Quote
Kiouri Posted September 14, 2024 Author Posted September 14, 2024 (edited) Thank you for the help Frank1940 and JorgeB when I got home from work I deleted the smbpasswd and secrets.tdb from the flash drive and the var/lib/samba/private folder. Restarted unraid. I was then getting an error message for wrong credentials reset my password and everything is working again. Edited September 14, 2024 by Kiouri Quote
