Seagate 3tb GoFlex @Costco for $139

Featured Replies

Yeah it's an external, and yeah, you have to put on clothes and leave the house to get it, but at $140, we are getting back to where prices were...

Note, thanks to the warranty change, it only has 2 years of coverage, so if you're worried about it breaking in 4 years, and not being covered because you took it out of the case... that's not a problem any more.

It has USB3, but as I recall the drives SATA connector is accessible so you can preclear it while still in the case. (aim a fan at it)

oh, here's a link to newegg, selling the same drive for $190

Best price so far since the flood. But I can't go to 3 TB until they hit about $100 each. Seagate is going 7200  for all their drives and the platter density will increase so unless you must have them now, I would wait.

Staples offers the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Desk 3TB USB 3.0 External Desktop Hard Drive, model no. STAC3000102, for $199.99. Coupon code "99064" cuts it to $129.99 with free shipping.

Coupon code is per drive, so $140 off if you buy 2

Has anyone confirmed the drive specifications?  RPM and Cache?

Best Buy in store $139

I like the GoFlex drives just because I can pop them out of the shell, and keep the base around. Makes a nice quick harddrive dock.

EDIT: Not to mention you can slap the "dock" onto a dvd drive and have an external drive too, :)
