N0T0RI0US Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Hi, I messed around with my set-up and can't get Fix Common Problems to clear the warning referenced even after running mover. I stopped all the docker containers and disabled it in settings. Same with VMs though I have none. I set appdata to cache-prefer (which I think means Primary storage cache Secondary storage Array) and ran mover. I then set it back to cache-only and started up all the docker containers, but I still get the same warning. It says I can use krusader but not sure how since all docker containers need to be stopped. I read several posts trying to fix this myself including the one below, where the Member says he uses cache-prefer but I have read appdata should be cache-only. Which one is it? To transfer manually, do I need to create a root share, and how do I know which files need to be moved over? The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know. Thanks darktower-syslog-20240912-1633.zip Quote
JorgeB Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 To run the mover you need to set it to cache prefer, but note that the mover won't move any duplicate or open files, enable the mover logging run it, and post new diags. Quote
N0T0RI0US Posted September 12, 2024 Author Posted September 12, 2024 Thanks Jorge. I changed it back to prefer and ran the mover. Attached is the log. What are your thoughts on whether appdata should be cache-onl or prefer? darktower-syslog-20240912-2008.zip Quote
N0T0RI0US Posted September 12, 2024 Author Posted September 12, 2024 I might of messed things up again. I'm going to do it over. Quote
N0T0RI0US Posted September 12, 2024 Author Posted September 12, 2024 Nevermind, I went into my data share by accident instead of the appdata. The last log I posted should now include mover. Thx Quote
JorgeB Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Sep 12 16:00:20 DarkTower move: skip: /mnt/cache/appdata/syslog-127.0.0.1.log Looks like it moved everything except this log, which was probably in use. Quote
N0T0RI0US Posted September 13, 2024 Author Posted September 13, 2024 So I am good? Jorge, should I leave appdata cache-only? Quote
Solution JorgeB Posted September 13, 2024 Solution Posted September 13, 2024 You should delete/move that file and then confirm the share only exists on the pool, and you can then set it to cache only. Quote
