September 12, 20241 yr I have to use a custom kernel to have NTFS3 available and It's so much faster... There's no comparison. Unfortunately I have to deal with ntfs sometimes. Please make it available on future kernel releases.
September 12, 20241 yr Community Expert I thought the NTFS support provided by Unassigned devices IS ntfs3?
September 12, 20241 yr Author It is not. It's fuseblk / ntfs-3g afaik. My write speeds are limited to almost 100MB/s whereas when using NTFS3 I can saturate the usb3/ssd. Besides if you try to manually mount with -t ntfs3 , it clearly say it is not available. Edited September 12, 20241 yr by adolfotregosa
October 5, 20241 yr There is a new setting in UD in Device Settings to set NTFS3 when mounting a disk. The setting applies to individual disks.
October 5, 20241 yr Author I can't test atm, moving house, but I'm sure it will work fine. Thank you all.
