Web UI completely inaccessible including all dockers and smb shares under heavy load.

The system completely becomes inaccessible under heavy load and it freezes everything, not even ssh is accessible. The server sometimes shuts off by itself but I'm unsure if it's a related issue or not. this has been happening for multiples versions so I'm sure it's not version specific.

That is almost always a hardware problem.

 

Using disk shares (or exclusive shares) with some or most containers can also help with wegGUI not accessible under load, or using a dedicated pool for downloads/unpacking

Any way to diagnose the hardware problem? i ran memtest and found errors, could that be the cause? 

 

The issue is the shutdowns don't happen regularly or during a specific time and sometimes it stays up for weeks or months before it happens again so it's be very difficult to swap components to test.

Even 1 error is too many when running memtest.    Bad RAM can cause all sorts of symptoms.
