Copy old settings from trial to another

Featured Replies

I setup a second UNRAID server in *2020* using my existing Windows build as a VM, I am considering paying and using it fulltime however I want to have a look around. I wondered if there was a way to move the old settings from the old trial flashdrive and move on to a new trial usb (which I have setup already).

For the avoidance of doubt, I am not trying to avoid paying, I just want to be able to have a look around then decide. (I already have my main server on UNRAID).

I tried copying across the config folder (apart from the trial key of course) - seemed like UNRAID booted but it didnt connect to the LAN, suspect what I did broke something?

It should not cause a LAN error, but you cannot restore an existing config to a new trial, this is a trial limitation, you can reassign all the devices as they were to use the existing data, and if needed, you can then reconfigure the server name, network settings, etc.
