scorcho99 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 I'd make sure all the virtualization options are still enabled in bios, updating usually resets to defaults. Quote
jknilsen Posted September 19, 2024 Author Posted September 19, 2024 i have enabled iommu and virtualization after bios update but no longer able to start vm that have been used for long time before bios update and cant setup new vm anymore evrything result as internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: qxl_send_events: spice-server bug: guest stopped, ignoring 2024-09-14T22:38:20.611287Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device {"driver":"vfio-pci","host":"0000:06:00.0","id":"hostdev0","bus":"pci.6","addr":"0x0"}: vfio 0000:06:00.0: failed to setup container for group 1: Failed to set iommu for container: Operation not permitted and i have checked if my gpu is enabled (passtrough) in device setings on unraid so i am blank with how to solve it Quote
scorcho99 Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Are you sure 0000:06:00.0 is the right device? It wouldn't be unheard of for the pci slot ids to change between bios versions. Quote
jknilsen Posted September 21, 2024 Author Posted September 21, 2024 pci slot ids to change between bios versions this is what i suspect might have happen but how do i know / where can i see the current ID and look at the old ID?? to confirm that its the issue and how do i change this? thanks Quote
