September 17, 20241 yr If a non-LTS Linux Kernel is a "show stopper" for Unraid 7 and: Linux 6.12 LTS is expected in November 2024. Then, OpenZFS will need to release a Linux 6.12 compatible version. Then, Lime Tech will need time to validate the new build. Doesn't that firmly push the Unraid 7 release in to 2025? Not complaining, just doing the math. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edited September 17, 20241 yr by Balok

September 17, 20241 yr Author Rereading the release notes, Lime Tech never EXPLICITLY stated that they required a LTS for the release of UnRaid 7. However, that's my assumption looking at Unraid 6 and the language in the Unraid Beta release notes regarding their aversion to releasing Unraid 7 with an EOL Linux Kernel version. Kernels have gone eol within a couple of weeks following a new release recently
September 17, 20241 yr Author I was just editing my comment to include the EOL argument at the same time as you.
