Unmountable: Unsupported or no file system - Cache SSD

I'm, very new to unraid and just got everything setup following TRASH guides for hardlinks/atomic moves.

I was attempting to add a DOCKER for Binhex-QbittorrentVPN when the operation failed and then ALL dockers became unavailable.

I then noticed that my cache drive was showing full, so i ran the mover. it completed but was giving "read only" errors and kb/s on some drives. It completed several hours later but still showing the cache drive as full. I rebooted the UNRAID server via the GUI.

I did attempt a few of the recommendation found here https://forums.unraid.net/topic/46802-faq-for-unraid-v6/page/2/#comment-543490 However none of them worked and gave me errors. I have paused everything as I'm sort of lost on what to do.

My main concern is that I mostly want to keep my DOCKER setup which was stored in the APPDATA folder in the cache. I really don't want to rebuild all of that if I don't have to. I don't care so much of the data that was downloaded and waiting to be moved.

To add/clarify.

I had a 2TB ssd (NVME) + 256GB SSD (sata) pooled together for my cache. I removed the 256GB SSD from the pool in an attempt that was the issue, but now UNRAID is seeing it as a brand new device if I were to try and add it back.

So, i stopped the array to change a few settings and try to add the device again and it still was not working. I then started the array, spun down all the disks. THEN randomly the cache pool recreated it self and is now showing both my SSDs working. the pool is still showing full and I have not attempted anything else yet. I also have attached the diagnostics immediately once this changed.

So everything looks good?

is there a way get the information off the 256ssd? And just use the 2tb to allow for more space?

I originally thought I had set it up with no cach to combine the two storages but I may have misunderstood.

i currently it setup as 2tb nvme and 256gb ssd = total 500gb.

how would I either and preserve the data if possible. (at the very least saving the appdata/docker info, again i don't care so much about the data as almost all of that I can get again, I just don't want to have to re setup all the programs.)

1: remove the 256ssd and only have 2tb nvme

or 2: install another 2tb nvme (total for 2x 2tb nvme) for a total for 4tbs (if this is possible)

without losing any of the data on the 256sata ssd?

Not really, because it's going read only, you need to try and free up some space, though it may be difficult without adding another device, then covert to single, that can use both devices fully when they don't have the same capacity.

Try disabling the docker and VM services, then restart the array, if the pool still goes read-only you will need and backup and re-format, or add a new device, it can be a temporary loop device, just to make the conversion.

what would the process / commands be for both directions? I’m going to try and find another device but likely won’t receive it in a timely manner. I want to get my services back up asap so the backup/reformat might be my quicker option now.

So I did what you said with stopping the services and restarting the array, I did the “fndmnt” command and my drive is now showing -rw. I’m running the mover currently and getting no errors.

what will the process be if this completes successfully to remove the 256ssd from the cache to allow for the full potential of the nvme 2tb?

If you want to keep using both devices, and use the total capacity, click on the pool, scroll down to the balance section, then convert to single profile.

What is the process to remove the data from the 256gb SSD from the pool and place all the contents on the 2tb NVMe SSD?

I want to get rid of the 256gb SSD.
