Trying replace disk but cannot stop array to assign new drive

I am running version 5 beta 10.

I had a drive that I thought had failed.  Red ball and many write errors.

I replaced the drive with one of equal size.  The array started with the failed disk "not intalled."

 

When I try to stop the array to assign the new disk I get  unmounting disk, Retry unmounting disk, Retry unmounting disk over and over. 

 

I don't think I am running anything but unraid.  Any advice?

    Thanks for your help.  That did it.  Rebuilding now. 

     

    Just out of interest, I thought the array wasn't supposed to start once the disk was replaced.  Any ideas why this happened?
