Unraid is meant to boot from a usb flash drive. An SD card is not a flash drive. Some people have found sd card readers that will work, but in general it's not expected that they will. When it comes to booting from flash cards it's not about the card it's about the reader. The reader, which is the usb device, must present a unique GUID which most do not.

They see it as a threat even when it's not. Some will see it's digitally signed and ignore it, others won't. This says everything you need to know about the snake oil these companies are peddling.

The code for the entire USB creator is open-source, I don't think it's happening from that unless it's NSIS as stated earlier. Here's the repo: https://github.com/unraid/usb-creator-next The initial question in this topic has been answered (NSIS = Nullsoft Scriptable Install System). If anyone continues to have issues, please open a new topic specific to your concern - thank you! 🙂 For the latter part of the discussion in this thread, the following forums are more suitable: https://forums.unraid.net/forum/37-pre-sales-support/ https://forums.unraid.net/forum/55-general-support/ 1
