September 27, 20241 yr I am using Unassigned Devices and would like to add a remote smb share to Unraid. My main PC on Windows 10 is on the same LAN as Unraid, and it would be useful if I could mount a folder there directly to Unraid! So I thought I would set one of my folders on Windows as a share folder and add it to Unassigned Devices, However, when I try to connect using the admin account on the main PC, the mount fails. I read somewhere that you have to turn off password protection for shared folders in Windows, but I don't want to do that.
