[email protected]
Hi guys. I'm about to upgrade my current set-up. To be honest, I have never got it properly working, mainly because lack of time to get properly into the detail of how things work. I use my Unraid for storage and PLEX only. 1 Home theater that Runs 4K HDR and 3D 1080p 2 TV's that runs 4K and 1080p. 1 TV that is running older 4K that might need transcoding to 4K compatible formats Currently the maximum useage would be 2 4K streams or 1 4K stream and 2 transcoded 1080p My current Set-up is: (24/7 uptime) AMD Ryzen 3 3200G (Onboard graphics) MSI450 Motherboard with one M.2 onboard and 6 Sata ports Nvidia Gigabyte 1650Ti Super Graphic card (Never got it to HW transcode) 16 Slots Server case 3,5" What is the best option? A or B? A: (360 USD) Keep the set-up above and upgrade with a Nvidia Quadro P2000 5gb B: (0 USD) Motherboard: ASUS PRIME H610M-E D4 CPU: Intel i5 12400 with UHD 730 Graphics Sell the Ryzen 3 CPU+motherboard and 1650 graphics card. A or B, what is going to be? 1 Quote Link to comment
da_stingo
Hi rmerrild, if you give people the choice between 2 options, they will come up with a 3rd one. Option C - Rework into the hardware transcoding topic and shine with your current Nvidia Gigabyte 1650Ti Super Graphic card. Seriously, if the current setup is stable, i would not invest a dollar. [email protected]
I simply don't know why, but I have tried several times to get my 1650 Super to work. I have also got online support where everything should be set up correctly. Thats why. And it is also too late, as my older brother got my other 3060 that was in my daily use PC So I need it back.
