Added SSDs from Array to pool -> All Drives unmountabale - Data Lost?

Featured Replies

Hello,

i read that SSDs in a array are not good so i tried to add 2 SSDs to my pool and wanted to create a share. Totally forgot Pool is btrfs and array is xfs.

I have a nvme as my cache and added the two SSDs (with data on it) to the pool, started the array, stopped the array and decided add my ssds back into the array. All of my Drives (nvme & 2 SSDs are now unmountable). i formatted the nvme and restored my appdata and stuff from backup. Are my SSds from the Array gone? is there any chance to get the filesystem back?

so basically ma SSDs show btrfs now in unassigned devices. cant acces on other PC cant put back in the Array.

That's not a problem, but you cannot add two array devices to a pool and expected them to work together, even if they were btrfs, since in the array they are always separate filesystems.
