October 2, 20241 yr So I recently have a failed 16 TB Drive and its taking a while to get the RMA since I live in a very remote area and I am currently low on cash to buy replacements. Its been a month and I wonder if I can use the unraid without the failed drive. I do have parity, I kept my system powered down as I did not wanted to destroy my parity. I have disabled all dockers and made sure nothing writes to the array and excluded the failed drive from all the shared before removing it and I only turn the server on when I want to copy some data and then turn it off but I have been wondering if I can just use the server for regular purpose without destroying my parity. Thank you very much. Edited October 2, 20241 yr by DeadlyTitan
October 2, 20241 yr Solution You can, but with increased risk, if another drive fails you can lose both.
