Hi, i was wondering if i can buy only the backplane for 20 sata hdd´s, like the one used in norco 4220. I cannot find any similar to it, only propietary ones from ibm, hp, etc.

    I found 1u backplanes from Supermicro-Backplane-CSE-SATA-813-4x-SATA. Can someone confirm to me if this backplane is SATAI or SATAII, I really can´t find anything about it.

    See my response in your other thread.  I don't think you are going to find anything much cheaper than $55.  Maybe something used on eBay...

    Hi, supermicro confirmed this backplane is "passive", so..they work with all speed....So speed will depend on your controller and HDD.

    Yes, there are a lot offered in ebay used and cheaper. Thx.
