Run checkdisk on the flash in a PC or Mac.

Awesome Blossom Sir!  First Chkdsk --- no change... just for s&g I decided to run it again w/ another reboot... good to go now! I truly appreciate the help!

chkdsk works, temporarily...

The system seems to have gone down again...

I'm assuming that my flash drive may have taken its own life!

Please see attached syslog and advise the best course of action if you could be so kind!

When I run the chkdsk, I am told that the size of the \config\secrets.tdb entry is not valid

Backup the config directory. Reformat (a long format) and reinstall. Restore the config directory.

I have now done that, however it is still the same issue.

I have hooked up the server to a keyboard and monitor.

What I able to determine now is that the system stops RIGHT at one minute after the "Tower login:" prompt comes up. Prior to that point I am fully able to access my shares, but after that... nothing is accessible.  I have duplicated this and it is the same every time.

I have run memtest with no errors and the system runs fine throughout the test.  I assume that memtest is run from the flash drive.

My current course of action is:

I have noticed that a COMPLETELY clean install of 4.7 runs fine (no freezing at the tower login prompt.

I have narrowed it down to a file in the actual config folder, going through each now to see if I can determine the culprit.
