I have to type in \\tower on the address bar and then it work (asking for username and password). Workgroup setting is WORKGROUP

I am talking about Tower share Icon is not appearing on the windows Network anymore.
February 19, 201214 yr These types of problems are usually related to the 'Master Browser' issues on the windows networking side of the house. If windows gets confused on where and who the master browser is, you can have all kinds of weird problems. Using your server as the master browser (because it is on all of the time in most setups) usually resolves most issued.
