Unable to Download Appfeed – Tried DNS Settings, Gateway Check, and AdGuard Troubleshooting

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am experiencing an issue where Unraid cannot download the appfeed for Community Applications. Below is the sequence of actions I’ve taken to troubleshoot the problem :

1). Checked Internet Connection: The server is connected to the internet and I am able to access the web UI.

2). DNS Settings: I manually configured the DNS settings to use both Google DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) and OpenDNS (208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220) as suggested by the system. The gateway is set to 192.168.1.1, which is my router’s address.

3). AdGuard: I suspected that AdGuard might be filtering connections, so I disabled it temporarily, but the issue persists.

4). Router and Gateway: The default gateway has been checked, and I restarted my router to ensure everything was working properly.

5). No Change in Error: Despite these efforts, I continue to get the same error: “Unable to communicate with GitHub” and the appfeed fails to download.

Attached is a screenshot of the error message from the Unraid dashboard.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance or further troubleshooting steps that could help resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance for your help !
