Hey i have a server running 4.7 the usb-drive crashed and i made a new.

 

The problem is that i can only access files trought file://tower/disk1 but then i can only download 1 file at ones, but i cant download folders.

 

If i try SMB://tower i fails, but boxee can access and play the files trough smb.

 

If i use FTP then i can see the folders, but they dont contain any files

 

Hope that some one in her have at fix for mme so I dont have to download alle my files one at the time =)

Check your share settings and permissions. Make sure it's at least read and visible. You want read\write if your going to move or delete files. Post back what you find.

 

Unless you installed FTP on unRaid that's not going to work. What is the OS on the target system? I recognize file:// as a means to access files using a web browser on a web server. I just want to make sure I'm reading this right.

"As of unRAID 4.3-beta-1, an FTP server is already included as part of unRAID. It is vsftpd"

 

I even looked through the all the tabs in the GUI. No place fo any settings.

There is a mention of permissions being a problem in a older version of unRaid. This may be why you can't see anything.

Now I have to go back and disable FTP on my system. Thats not something I want running.

And yes file:// are being used in chrome and also works in explore. But neither smb or ftp works.

 

As i wrote earlier boxee running om the same computer can access the files via smb/samba and is running smooth.

Set workgroup the same on unraid and win7 system. That should take care of the issue.
