Media server applications auto update on detecting changes (possible inotify issue)

Featured Replies

I swear this used to work, but it no longer does.

I've tried Plex, Emby and Jellyfin, not one of them detect changes in media folders and auto update, even if it's enabled in the settings of those applications.  I understand these rely on inotify, but I don't think that can be installed like it is on ubuntu or debian.  Maybe it's already in unraid, but mine is not working.

Not sure where to start or what to look for in the log files, any help would be much appreciated.

Just want to clarify this is for music, so when I rip or use a code to get new music, I put it into the music folder and need it to auto detect these changes.  My other media is handled automatically through their apps.
