February 22, 201214 yr Hey guys, one more little bug that needs solving before my array is working perfectly! If I do this command (or a sleep script does it) echo -n mem > /sys/power/state then some (but not all) of the disks, which are spun down at this point, spin up? This is silly!! A) If it's writing things to disk then why doesn't the parity drive spin up? B) It does it in two batches, the second batch of drives *just* spin up and then they immediately spin down when the machine goes to sleep. Now this isn't good for hard drives so how do I stop it!??! [i'll post a syslog once this pre clear is done] Cheers!!
