Array data discrepancy

Featured Replies

I currently have a 56TB server with 8x8TB drives 1 being a parity and 7 being in the array itself. I have a total of 52.8TB space used out 56TB total available space leaving me with 3.28TB free.  My array only shares use 47.7TB so that means i have 5.1TB of unknown space being taken up. My cache drive is 2Tb but only 422GB used and that data is Cache ONLY. Not sure if this data is able to

I have no clue where to look or what to look for as this is my first Unraid server so any help would be appreciated. If i can find what's taking up space it could save me needing another HDD.

I have attached screenshots of ncdu of the user folder and cache drive, As well as a screenshot of the shares page to see which shares are cache and which are arrray. Before doing all of this i have triggered the mover so all the data is correctly placed on the array/cache.

Most of your "lost" capacity is actually from comparing different measurement units (TB vs TiB)
To start with your unformatted space from 7 disks gets you about 51TiB (56TB)

If you go to the SHARES tab, you can press the "Compute..." button to see where storage is being used and what is free.
