February 23, 201214 yr Hello Specialists, I have a Problem with my unraid and because i am a Linux-Noob, i hope that someone can give me a helping Hand to determine, Whats wrong with my Box. I use v4.7 since April 2010 without any issue and made an Update to 5.0 b14 two Weeks ago. Everything was fine till i installed Plex for unraid last week. Since this Time, the plex Plugin Stops working every 14-15 Hours. When this happens, the webinterface shows plex is still running - strange. If i stop plex on the Web-GUI, the unraid becomes completely inaccessible so i have to switch of the power from the powersupply. My Question is now, does someone See this problem as well? Tanks for your help Zonediver
February 23, 201214 yr Which Plex plugin are you using? There were memory leaks (which would cause plex to crash) reported in the past but to my knowledge, the new version of the plugins have resolved this so you shouldn't have that problem any more.
February 23, 201214 yr I solved this by moving my Plex files out of hidden directories on my cache drive. It seems plex didn't like running from /mnt/cache/.plex/ I set up a cache-only share named 'plex', moved all the files there and set up the plugin to use that directory instead. No fallovers since. Hope this helps.
February 23, 201214 yr Author Hi together, thanks for your replies - i am using "plex-media-server-noarch-0.9.5.2a-no-utf8-ds.plg" - i am not sure if this is the last one. Abd regarding hidden Filders: Is it ok to rename the Folder from ".date" to "data" or shell i use an other Folder? Thanks again Zonediver

I still get the crash - seems always to happen when sabnzbd is involved. Running v0.9.5.2.
March 20, 201214 yr How do you setup a "cache only" directory? I thought every single directory on the cache drive would get moved somewhere by mover when it was invoked as often as it's scheduled to? I thought only directories with a ".blah" period in front of their name would be ignored by the mover script? Thanks!
March 21, 201214 yr Critical bug fix for PMS for Linux. Not sure if the packages/plugins here have been updated yet. http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/38976-0953309-for-linux/ Edit: Yep. Spidi is on top of it. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=14803.0
