Server freezes following weekly CA Backup

Featured Replies

I have the backup plugin set to stop and backup all containers in the early hours of sunday.

Every time for the last 3 weeks my containers all stop working following this backup. I wake up to uptime notifications on my phone saying plex, immich etc. are offline and then I check and the webui is no longer accessible. The server is still running though as at some points through the day I can put in the IP (rather than the host name which usually works) and get to the 'main' page and see that a parity check is running.

This parity check will always be at 99.5% or so and will stay there for ever, no other tab on the webui will load and eventually the main page will stop responding too.

See attached my diagnostics. I also have the syslogs set to save on the array so can upload them if helpful (Unsure if info needs redacting for that)

Many thanks

You should post in the existing plugin support thread.

I have since concluded its nothing to do with the backup itself but rather a combination of hardware issues and possibly poor config that causes these issues to result in a crash.

Unfortunately I am no closer to finding a solution.
