February 24, 201214 yr I really messed up, I was adding another sata cable and my mobileliteg2 would not fit in the on board usb slot since the new sata cable was in the way so i had a usb header to usb female cable and screwed up and reversed the polarity and it fried my mobileliteg2 and thecard which was in it. I have not got around to making a backup of the usb. Is my data still recoverable, if it is what process do i take after i get the new usb and unraid installed?
February 24, 201214 yr Yes your data is most likely fine. 1. You will need to get a new USB thumb drive set up. 2. Once booted up you can assign the drives back to the slots that they belong to 3. If you do not know the answer to the above question assign ALL drives as data drives 4. The drive that shows up unformatted (after having started the array) is the parity drive. 5. Assign the parity drive and the data drives to the correct slots and then start the array again.
