Frequent Disconnects from Network after boot

Featured Replies

I'm hoping to get help figuring out what is going on. I'm a beginner with all this and am probably in over my head with my hardware.  I've had Unraid running consistently for a couple years now without much incident and good uptime, but lately I'm having lots of issues with my network connection.

I have a Ubiquiti UDM-Pro for my network router and my Unraid server only runs a plex server in a docker container.  (Official plexinc Docker). Nothing else running. Unraid 6.12.13.

Everything will boot correctly and run for anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours, and then it will drop the connection and I won't be able to connect via GUI and it disappears from my device list in my Ubiquiti dashboard.

I've tried tweaking settings here and there to no success and am banging my head against the wall now trying to get this to work.  I have very limited networking knowledge but am great at following directions.

Most of my attempts so far have been around:

  • static vs dynamic IPs through both Unraid and Ubiquiti
  • changing IPv4 only or IPv4+IPv6
  • installing and uninstalling Realtek RTL8125(B) PCI Driver plugin
  • running Fix Common Problems plugin (nothing found except a full drive)

Unsure if it is a Unraid or Ubiquiti setting causing my issues.

Diagnostic file attached - but was taken before the disconnect if that impacts the usefulness of the file

Diags appear to be just after a reboot, do you know the time when you lost the connection? Or do you mean that the server is crashing and you need to restart?

That's what I'm not entirely sure of to be honest - whether it's a server crash or whether it is just a network problem. What would be the best way to diagnose this? Safe mode boot for a couple of days to see if it stays connected?

In my efforts to start to diagnose it (getting it out of the rack and a monitor hooked up) I discovered it was a hardware related error - bad stick of RAM - been stable since its been removed. Appreciate the help
