Installed unRAID 5.14 on USB and want to copy it to another can it be done

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm a NOOB to unRAID and the Linux world. So I'm trying to learn a few Distro's Ubuntu and Zentyal and ran across unRAID. I've been running Win Home Server V1 and 2011 and want to switch to unRAID because I like what I see and with it's possibility's I'm tickled  ;D

OK so here's my question / situation  I installed unRAID 5.14 on a 32gig (Patriot)USB drive only thing I had at the time. So I have it running with 3 drives and have decided to upgrade to the PRO  key. I want to copy whats on the 32gig (Patriot)USB to a 4gig  (Sandisk Cruzer)USB. Now is this something that can be done or do I have to start over because of the GUID id's are different on the 2 USB drives?

Thanks for your time Tim

And sorry if this has been asked and answered be for but  I searched the forums using ( Change Guid and Guid Change) and didn't see anything that popped out at me. Again thanks

If you bought the key using the 32g drives guid then no.

If you have yet to buy the key, just move your files to the new drive, run syslinux as per instructions, test for a bit then get your key for the sandisks guid
