Cannot connect to Shares External to Server

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm running into a problem where my shares are not accessible off my Unraid server. I've been trying some of the solutions mentioned in forum as well as Reddits but not having a lot of luck.

I have a home lab with a mix of VMs and computers running Ubuntu, Win10, and Win11. Some sort of corruption happened yesterday to my USB which I thought self corrected after a reboot but no love. The server itself and the dockers are able to access the shares and various files I have.  However even VMs on the server are not able to access the shares.

On my other computers, I'm getting the 0x80070035 or when I diagnose, I'm getting the remote device is not accepting connections.  This is true on both Windows and Ubuntu.

I've tried resetting the passwords via deleting the passwd, shadow, secrets.tdb, and smbpasswd as I had seen in one session.

I also tried renaming the workgroup from being all caps to lower case, again without luck.

I'm sure its something stupid, but I just can't seem to figure out whats going on. And unfortunately I can't seem to find any of my backup copies of the USB from when it was working.

Thanks,

Raven

Got lucky and found an old usb.  Was able to copy the passwd, shadow, and smbpasswd.  Moved secrets.tdb to be secrets.tdb.old and then rebooted. Looks good now.
