October 24, 20241 yr I got myself a new server. I've got all the hardware setup but the only problem is that my old server had 3.5-inch vs the new one that only has 2.5-inch. What is the best way to transfer my data to the new drives and keep my dockers/VMs configuration? I was thinking about mounting the old servers drives with ubuntu and doing a copy from one to the other. But I don't think ubuntu is going to read the drives of unraid. Thanks for any help!

October 25, 20241 yr You can also use a new USB with a trial-version of Unraid (or buy a 2nd copy, in case you need a backup-server), so the systems are the same. Then you can use unassigned devices to link the shares and copy everything from one to the other, without getting other operating systems involved (although it would work too).
