[SOLVED]Trouble post Processing with Sabnzbd

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have been running unraid for a few months now and its been working great. I recently attempted to get sab, sickbeard, and couch potato running so I no longer need to download and push the files from another computer. Everything seemed to install fine through the latest unmenu. Sickbeard and couch potato both push files to sabnzbd but they never can be post processed by sickbeard script

Sabnzbd, Sickbeard, and Couchpotato are all on the cache drive and Sabnzbd is downloading to /mnt/cache/.sabnzbd/complete/ (movies or tv)

When ever a download is complete it is successfully unpacked and rebuilt but I am displayed with a "Cannot run script /mnt/cache/.sickbeard/autoProcessTV/autoProcessTV.py"

If it helps diagnose the problem, I can navigate to the cache drive into the Sabnzbd folder but I am unable to open a completed download folder, it says I do not have privileges. I had issues during the initial install when I had to change the autoprogesstv.cfg file to correspond to my port. It kept saying that I did not have permission. I had to telnet into my server and use midnight commander to edit and rename the sample file.

This is running on 5.0b13 version of unraid

I'm not very Linux savvy so diagnostics is hard for me.

-Thanks so much for any input

Look in the config->folders section of SABnzbd for an area to set the permission of downloaded files/folders.

You will also need to get the autoProcess.py file to be executable.

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply.

I changed the permissions of the download folder and changed the script to the sabtosickbeard.py file, the one it should have been set to in the first place, rather than autoprocessTV.py and everything works great now. Thanks again prostuff1, if you hadn't have talked about the autoprocess.py needing to be executable I wouldn't have noticed that I blatantly chose the wrong script.

Also prostuff1, I loved your preclearing tutorial on your blog, preclearing was the first script I ever ran and your blog outlined it in great detail.

Glad you got it fixed and found my preclear write-up helpful.  I tried to keep it simple while still making it informative.

What would cause permission changes to the .py files in the autoProcessTV folder? I had mine set properly, but today things failed being processed. I checked the files and sabToSickBeard was no longer executable.

I did run the new permissions utility last night to fix some issues with files on the user shares. Would this have done that?

Yes

Okay. Noted. I thought that might be the case since those files are on the cache drive. I wonder...If I moved those files to my flash drive would they be safe from that utility?

possibly, but I would not put stuff on the flash drive

You mean flash drive?

You mean flash drive?

Yes... fixed... that's what I get for trying to multitask.
