Transfer speed between drives

Featured Replies

Hi, I am new to Unraid and I am transferring my accumulated data to the new server.

Currently, I have a 18tb (7200rpm) and a 12 TB (7200rpm) as disk1 and disk2 of my raid. Currently, this array is 40% free.

I am transferring data from a 12TB (red plus) connected directly to the Mobo. The drive is in NTFS format.

The data being transferred is mainly movies and porn (500mb-4gb files) using Krusader.

The rest of the system is composed by a i3 10100, 32gb ram, ASRock H510M-HDV/M.2 SE, 1 TB NVME ssd as cache. I do not have a drive assigned to parity.

I am getting 66MiB/s. Is this speed slow? I thought that it would be faster. I am doing something wrong? I read around and I switched to "reconstruct write", but didn't gain any speed. I also tried doing it through the command window (rsync command), and didnt gain speed.

Reconstruct write only works with parity, which filesystem are you using?

It should be faster (100-150 MB/s) regardless

It should, hence why I asked
