October 27, 20241 yr I have a rog strix x670e-f and everything has been working great for over a year. I wanted to get a graphics card as the built in gpu on the 7950x AMD processor was not working the best for transcoding. So purchased an intel arc a380. Ever since i put it in my server I kept loosing network connection. I was running a 10 gig nic. But my Motherboard only has two pcie slots so only had room for my HBA card and the graphics card and went back to the 2.5 gig intel nic port on the board. I am connected. Running a ping from my desktop to server as I try to get graphics card to work on plex, i loose all pings and all network connections to server. I am at a loss. Upgraded firmware to newest bios on asus board. Had resize bar on and off (although not sure what that does, something with vram) I am running unraid 6.12.13. I looked and the graphics card and intel nic seem to be in seperate IOMMU groups. anybody have advice to get this to work. Or do i just return card and get an nvidia? I pulled a diagnostics. I did see an intel error on server logs. Should be in there then. tower-diagnostics-20241027-1447.zip
October 27, 20241 yr Community Expert Give beta 7.0 a shot. Built in support for the GPU with different kernel. It's easy to roll back as long as you don't change some pool related zfs stuff.
October 28, 20241 yr Author I installed 7.0 and the card started to work, but after a while, still lost network connection. So I am still having the intel card and intel nic causing some sort of conflict. I am only assuming that is the issue. I never ran this nic as before i had the card, i was using a pcie 10 gig card.
