Terramaster F4-424 Pro - Hard Drives aren't showing

Featured Replies

I just switched to Unraid from TOS 5.1. I have two 1TB NVMEs and two 12TB Hard Drives.  All the drives were showing in TOS. However, after installing Unraid only the two NVMEs are listed. Is there a setting I need to check? Should I remove the hard drives and reinstall them? There is minimal data on them and I am happy to erase and reformat if that will help. Sorry for the newbie questions, I'm sure it is an esy fix. Thanks!

Post diagnostics if possible.

As far as UR is concerned, those 12TB drives do not exist.  Check sata and power cables.  They should pop right in without doing anything special.

I also have the Terramaster F4-424 Pro, I just slid the drives in the tray and they showed up in Unraid right away.  I also have 2 X NVME drives.  So far so good...

Here's what I've done so far -

  • Removed both hard drives, reformatted  - nothing
  • Added an additional 8TB drive with data - nothing
  • Added an additional 6TB new drive - nothing

None of the drives spin.

I'm starting to think it's something in the Bios. The only thing I changed there was the boot order, to boot from USB. I'll post on the TM forum also to see if they have any insight.

Nothing spinning sounds like no power.  Even without data cable they should spin up

It was no power and I'm a dummy. When I took the NAS apart to add the internal usb boot drive I missed reconnecting the DIN going to the drive bay. Connected it correctly and everything is now working fine. Thank you all
