Question on migrating to a new server

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've recently migrated from a traditional unraid array to another server specifically built with a zfs raidz array. Copied everything over via rsync however, I've hit a roadblock. Is it possible to transfer my VMs over to the new box?

Typically easy if you are not doing any hardware passthrouhg, will need adjusting if you are.

Copy the vdisks and the libvirt.img from the previous server, then use that libvirt.img and make sure the vdisks paths are correct, in case they are not moved to the same place.

Thanks Jorge! I'll give that a shot when I get some down time. Appreciate the info!
