Controlling fans using a T-Balancer bigNG and HDD/sensor temperature readings

Featured Replies

I was wondering whether I can get more control over my 6 case fans using the T-Balancer bigNG fan controller and some kind of script. The problem is, I don't know much about Linux and even less about writing scripts.  :-[

After reading through several (rather old) threads on this forum it seems possible, but I couldn't find any (detailed) explanation on how to do it.

Has anyone successfully achieved temperature-controlled fan speed using unRAID 4.7 or 5 and the T-Balancer bigNG? If yes, would you be able to share pretty detailed instructions on how to do it, especially software and scripts needed?

In case you're wondering: although my mainboard has 7 fan headers only 2 of them can be controlled using PWM commands which doesn't help when I have 6 fans to adjust...

Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks a lot.
