[Solved] Just installed cache disk, now a data disk says "resizing"...

Featured Replies

I just installed a small 250gb cache drive and started up my server, and now my 2tb data drive says "resizing" and has done for the past 15 mins despite the fact that nothing about it (or the array in general) has actually changed. Any ideas?

The array came up fine on startup, this has only happened since stopping the array and adding the cache drive.

EDIT: It's still going. Also the "writes" and "reads" fields aren't incrementing. If I look on unMenu, everything seems as normal, however the SMB share is reporting that I only have 1tb and I can't access the 2tb drive at all, so I don't think this is a SimpleFeatures misreporting issue.

Also, my HDD indicator light is doing nothing except for the odd blip. Do you think it's just got a bit confused and needs rebooting?

Solved. In the end I just powered down due to the apparent lack of HDD activity (although the powerdown script wasn't completing so I just hard reset). All came up just fine after that. If this does happen to you thought, just make sure you check that there definitely is no hard drive activity.
