Can't format NVME drive

Featured Replies

Dear all

I have an issue with formating my cache drive. I tried it with 2 differant NVME drives, but the error is with both the same:

I use the 7.0.0 Beta4.

After I started the formating process, unraid crahses somehow. The core load on the overview page freeze.

Only a reboot helps to have the core load back.

Any ideas what could help?

Thanks a lot for the support!

Now reboot, and after boot, post the output from:

fdisk -l /dev/nvme0n1

Type

blkdiscard -f /dev/nvme0n1

and post the fdisk output again

I think I see the issue, set the cache slots to 1 and try again.

You are my hero! This was the mistake!

I choose 2 because I want to add a secound one, but it is not arrived.

Thank you very much! Maybe it is something that could be somehow fixed or so!

Have a great day!

Yep, it's a bug, but something that never came up before, since users typically add the correct amount of slots, and so did I while testing.
